Great awning. Our awning had its maiden voyage and it did well. One day of constant rain..and no leaks and another day of wind, it still held up well. We used the ropes that were supplied to anchor it down.(high quality and a nice bright color so no tripping over guylines ) Also it comes with really nice stakes.. so it is easy to secure your awning. The brackets that you get for mounting are really solid too.

Just received our Peregrine 270 about a week ago. While the wait was a little longer than quoted (took 2 months to receive), it is absolutely worth it! Nothing but good things to say so far, though to be fair keep in mind this review is for a one week old unit. Packaging was great, all the mounting accessories are provided (however mounting to our Xterra needed additional hardware from McMaster-Carr, which I was aware of prior to purchase). The unit we received has a black frame with black arms, which is different from the pictures but looks even better. The fabric does match the green as pictured. Fabric material is seriously heavy duty and has no light transmission at all. To top it off the coverage is amazing, videos do not do justice to the space you have under it. I was also surprised that for the Xterra (likely different for other SUVs) the hatch is not obstructed at all. The awning support frame does make light contact at the hatch when the hatch is fully raised however I have seen other vehicles where the hatch was obstructed a bit. I’ll throw a small hand towel up to keep from possible scratching, but not a problem at all. Overall well worth the money and wait, we will enjoy this awning camping around the west for years to come.
